We are proud to offer the Invisalign® system of dental aligners to our adult patients who want straighter teeth but don’t want traditional braces. Invisalign is a system of nearly invisible, removable trays, or aligners, that you change weekly to move your teeth into their desired position.
Because gum disease can contribute to serious conditions such as heart disease, strokes, or diabetes, good dental health is important for your overall well-being. When your teeth are properly aligned, not only do they look good, but more importantly, they help keep your gums healthy, as straight teeth are easier to keep clean. The removable Invisalign trays make it easy to brush and floss your teeth as you normally do to keep harmful bacteria that cause gum disease at bay.
The beauty of Invisalign is how comfortable and convenient the system is. You can easily wear the aligners for the recommended 20-22 hours a day, removing them to eat, brush your teeth, and clean the aligners. You can also take them out for special occasions, and if you play sports, you can wear Invisalign with your athletic guard.
Your orthodontic treatment time can be up to 50% shorter with Invisalign® than with braces, depending on your individual needs. You only need follow-up appointments approximately every 6 weeks to check that your progress in on-track.
